New Album Listening Party + Kickstarter Launch

I am very very excited to let y’all know I’ll be releasing a new album, Music City Joke, in February! That seems like a long way off, but it’ll be here before we know it, and I can’t wait for y’all to hear the new tunes.

No, seriously, I CAN'T WAIT.

So, I’m gonna play the record for you this Sunday, October 11 on Zoom! And I don’t mean “playing,” like me live-with-a-guitar. I mean you’re gonna get to hear the actual recorded songs themselves. It’ll be a listening party like we used to do back in the day, where we’d spin the album on the stereo at the bar for everybody to hear. Yeah, it’s like that, just virtual (so you don’t even have to wear pants).

But wait, there’s more.

Just a couple days later, I’m launching a Kickstarter campaign, so that’s right–it’s a Listening & Launch Party!

Here's the thing...I’ve always put everything I’ve had into the creative side of my albums, but this time around, I’m going for broke as I shoot to climb a few more rungs on the ladder–ya know, add a few theaters to the sports bars that have taken up a sizeable chunk of my schedule in the past.

I hired a producer, session players, and some professionals to run press, radio, and digital campaigns for me. All of this adds up to more money than I’ve ever spent on an album–and, well, more money than I have–so I’m hoping that a lot of y’all who have been on this journey with me since the beginning will be excited about lending a hand to help me get this album heard by more people than I ever have before.

I started doing this music thing because I loved playing songs for folks, and the way I see it: the more folks I can play my songs to, the more love to go around!

There’ll be a lot of information about the album, Kickstarter, and more coming your way, so stay tuned to the (new!) website and social media outlets.

In the meantime, I’d love it if you’d help spread the word about the listening party coming up on October 11 and the Kickstarter campaign following that. If you know someone who’d like my music, ask ‘em to sign up for the mailing list here at www.macleaphart.com, like my Facebook page, and follow me on Instagram. That’ll really help us get the word out about everything that’s going on these next few months.

I might’ve used the phrase “I’m excited” more in the past week than my entire life, and here I go again: I’m excited to have you along for the ride...it’s gonna be a good one!

The link for the Zoom listening party will be sent out this weekend before the party, so be on the lookout for that. Can't wait to see y'all there.

Cheers,

Mac
